SUSHI CHEF (San Jose & Campbell)

Seeking experienced, energetic, and positive sushi chefs for a high-volume sushi restaurant. Must have at least 2 years sushi experience. Must love people, art, food, and possess a passion for the hospitality business. Must also be willing to learn and collaborate well with a team.

You bring patience, knife skills and great skill to influence the delicate ingredients into world famous formations. As a Sushi chef, you will be the seafood expert in our kitchen. For this position, we are looking for serious minded foodies and experienced sushi makers.

Sushi Chef responsibilities include handling a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients, working with an attention to detail to fulfill all orders within quality standards.


  • Work experience as a Sushi Chef 2 years

Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi

Shift Leader (San Jose & Campbell)


The purpose of a Lead is to help ensure consistency in following the established standards in the operation for service and cleanliness in the restaurant, during all shifts.  This position would assist in the consistent supervision of the restaurant staff.



  • To serve the guests and ensure that the entire staff is doing so with attentive, exceptional service.                                                                   
  • To supervise staff to ensure that all standards of cleanliness.are being maintained in the work areas.                                                 
  • To order (inform management of any needed items) and restock supplies.

Complete opening check list



Throughout the day the lead would be responsible for answering the questions of the other staff, communicating the important information to all the team front and back of house, supervising the running and ending side work of front of house team members. Assuring that all staff take their breaks and designate stations where staff will be working.

Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests, ensure that all guest leave satisfied with the intent on returning.



  • Serve guest their meal and attend to their needs in a timely manner.

Primary Purpose

  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.

Food & Beverage Runner (San Jose & Campbell)


The primary responsibility of a food runner is to provide assistance to waitstaff and bartenders at restaurants. Runners do not take orders or handle payments. They help busy waitpersons deliver orders to customers in a timely manner, that means literally running the food from the kitchen to the table. It is an important job that ensures a smooth and efficient operation. When the food runner delivers the food, he/she may also check to see if the customer has everything, he/she needs and can deliver any additional items.



  • Take direction from their designated server.  
  • Always work in a safe fashion.  
  • Prepare and set up workstation and deliver food and beverages to guests on a timely manner.

Sushi Confidential is looking for an engaging and experienced Bartender to provide attentive and friendly service to our bar patrons. You must have extensive knowledge of different types of beer, wine, and liquor, and know how to mix a variety of specialty beverages.

Teamwork; helping out on floor as needed with cashier, expo and food/drink running. Take and serve food/drinks orders. Provide excellent customer service; paying extreme attention to detail, anticipating guests needs, greeting customers. Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers. Balancing cash receipts.

Host/Hostess (San Jose & Campbell)


To greet and seat guest in a courteous and professional manner and to assist managers in running the outdoor/dining room smoothly.





  • Greet guest in accordance with the time of day.           
  • Act promptly to all guest requests.                                  
  • Prepare dining area for service.

To always assist servers in clearing and resetting the tables in a timely manner.  Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests and maintain cleanliness of restaurant and outdoor seating areas. Assist with set-up and break-down of the restaurant and patio area. Provide additional service to guest as needed i.e., water refill, pre bussing etc.
